Who We Are
A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO DESIGN
4Line Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice bringing an elevated, contemporary perspective to architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and planning.
We believe great projects are the result of exceptional design, technical expertise, and meaningful relationships. By combining modern thinking with a highly collaborative approach, we create places that are thoughtful, functional, and built to last.
Our work is guided by four principles: Elevated Perspective, Design Excellence, Technical Expertise, and Collaborative-Centered Service.
Our mission is to create exceptional places through thoughtful design, technical expertise, and fostering genuine relationships.
Collaborative Design: We care deeply about great design, but never at the expense of our clients, collaborators, or project goals. Clients receive thoughtful guidance, direct communication, and a collaborative experience from start to finish.
Architecture That Works: We believe great architecture should perform as beautifully as it looks. Every project is designed with aesthetics, functionality, budget, constructability, and long-term performance in mind. The result is architecture that is both inspiring and practical.
Interdisciplinary Thinking: We believe better outcomes come from integrated expertise. Architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and planning work together from the beginning of every project. This collaborative approach strengthens coordination, improves decision-making, and creates more cohesive solutions.
End-User Focused: We believe great design begins with understanding the people it serves. Whether designing a civic facility, workplace, or residence, we focus on the needs, experiences, and goals of the people who will ultimately use the space. Their experience drives every decision we make.
Our Services
-
We design buildings that are as intelligent as they are beautiful. From first concept to final detail, our work balances bold vision with technical precision, resulting in spaces that serve the people who use them and stand the test of time.
-
Great architecture doesn't stop at the building's edge. We shape the land around it with the same care, creating outdoor spaces that connect people to places and make every environment feel considered, inside and out.
-
The details are where a space becomes personal. Our interiors are designed to feel as good as they look, with materials, light, and layout working together to support how people live and work.
-
Good planning sets everything else up to succeed. We take the long view, organizing sites and communities with a clear framework that balances ambition with practicality and leaves room to grow.
Our Team
Chris Ford, AIA, PLA, LEED AP BD+C, SITES AP

His work spans commercial, mixed-use, and multifamily projects across a full range of construction types, always with a sensitivity to people, place, and pro-forma. He favors integrated project delivery and a focus on document quality, translating design into built environments that strengthen communities.
Nick Lucchese
-
Nick approaches architecture through both precision and human experience, drawn to how people connect with and perceive the spaces around them. He believes memorable architecture comes not from a single feature but from hundreds of deliberate decisions that shape how people experience a place without demanding their attention. Through constant iteration and close collaboration, he refines and carries ideas forward with care from concept through execution.
Kayla Westlake
-
Kayla brings a thoughtful, story-driven approach to design, with a focus on visual communication, spatial experience, and the influence of architecture on people. She translates design ideas into clear visual narratives that help clients understand the intent behind each decision, connect with a space, and feel confident throughout the process. This communication-focused approach strengthens collaboration between clients and project teams while supporting solutions that are cohesive, memorable, and rooted in the people who will experience them.
